Other small projects…

“A Day to Make a Difference”:  Three members of our club worked on a very large project to landscape our local elementary school grounds, and build a garden for the students to learn about agriculture.  Our presence there, while few, added to the success of the project and created prestige for our club.

Sonrisas Community Dental Clinic:  We provided funds for our local community dental clinic to restore a smile to a woman who had lost nearly all of her teeth.  She had received training for employment, but she was unable to find work due to her appearance.  As a result of the new teeth we were able to provide, she was able to get a job and support her family.  Our total cost was $450.
